All bookings taken are at the discretion of Alison J Smith. All agreements are made between the client and Alison J Smith. All correspondence is to be made in writing via email and only considered valid once a response has been received. Bookings are only secured once booking fee payment has been cleared. No provisional bookings will be taken at any time. By paying the reservation fee, all clients accept the Terms and Conditions listed below.
1. DEFINITION OF TERMS
a) Alison J Smith, hereinafter known as ‘me’.
2. PAYMENTS
a) A booking fee of £80 is required at the time of booking to secure the wedding date with me and this will be deducted from the final amount owing.
b) The booking fee can be paid by online bank transfer or cheque. Dates cannot be confirmed until booking fee is received and the booking form is signed.
c) The Booking Fee is to secure your wedding date and does not cover the cost of any trials you have with me.
d) Payment for the trial is taken on the day of the trial. Usually only one trial is necessary and any adjustments can be discussed ahead of the wedding day and then made on the day. If required, additional trials are charged at the same rate. Trial payments are not refundable under any circumstances.
e) The final balance is due fourteen days prior to the wedding.
f) If bridal party members are paying individually, this can be by cash on the day if agreed in advance.
g) Large groups and/or early start time may require extra artists to work with me at an extra cost of £50.
h) If preparation is split between two locations, a pack down/re-setup fee of £30 will be charged.
3. EXPENSES
a) Travel is included within 30 miles of Horsham.
b) For journeys over 30 miles, travel is charged at 60 pence per mile.
c) Where congestion charge and/or parking fees apply, these will be added to the final cost. This may be invoiced after the wedding if not known at time of booking.
d) For destination weddings, all travel and accommodation are to be paid by the client at the time of booking.
4. CANCELLATION
a) Following your trial, you have up to 48 hours to change your mind and notify me if you no longer wish to use my services. 75% of your booking fee will be refunded via bank transfer. 25% is retained to cover admin costs.
c) If you cancel my services before the trial or after 48 hours after the trial the booking fee is non-refundable in its entirety.
d) Cancellation by you less than four weeks before your wedding day will incur a cancellation fee amounting to 75% of the full charge.
e) Cancellation within seven days of the wedding day, you will be liable to pay 100% of the charge.
f) Cancellations must be in writing to me.
5. CANCELLATION BY ME
a) This has never happened in over 15 years of doing weddings.
b) If in exceptional circumstances I need to cancel a booking, I will attempt to find an alternative stylist, although this cannot be guaranteed.
c) If I am unable to attend your wedding your contract with me will be cancelled by me. I will refund all monies paid, including the trial fees and the booking fee to you.
d) I will liaise with the stylist regarding the style, make-up and colours used in your trial and provide images if I have them.
6. IMAGES TAKEN BY ME
a) On the day I do take images to be used including, but not limited to; social media, website, advertising and magazine articles.
b) If you, the client, has any objection to this, please make it known to me before the wedding day or on your booking form.
c) In abidance of the GDPR Act (2018) please indicate: –
d) If you are expressly happy for your names to be used with the images or,
e) You wish to expressly opt out and your names are not to be used with your images.
